She was my coffee The dark deep rich color The bitter smell like home Sweet with a little sugar And kept me alive in the mornings I'll never forget her touch Still lingering long after morning ends She my own caffeine pushing me on through the day And in the cold lonely night I missed her most Longing to have her Wishing it were simple to see her again Like having a cup of coffee Now I can't bear to drink it She's gone and my love turned bitter to taste But sometimes early in the mornings Still hung up on sleep I think of her And I make myself some coffee

The trees are taking back the pavement A winding world of green inching home across the broken city Cause we were lost too long And so our lives are gone Now it's just the trees And the green Taking a world we once thought we owned The beauty of it is surprising After what we've lost nature takes over Even though now we’re in danger Running for our lives from animals we used to keep in cages and our homes Now we kill each other still But for survival Brother against brother And friend against friend We are part of nature again And the trees own us

So this is how it is. A world where a passing stranger could be your death. For what? Love? Lust? Just wanting to be who we are. And go out. Be alive. Be human. And now. Look what we’ll become. Look what the world has done. To us. To everyone. Broken before you could stand on your own. Told the world is hopeless by everyone. Told you’re wrong. And it isn’t just us. There are more. More people who struggle. Who live. Despite everything. We are here. And we are queer. And i will not die for your hatred! I will not go down cause you shoot me. Ill be in a thought. A whisper.
