I found myself flying to the nearest tree, and perched as high as I could in the branches. I looked down to the ground and judged that I was sitting easily 85 feet in the air. Realizing I was so high gave me even more ideas.
Cautiously, I formed from a raven into a small chimp. In my head I laughed, making a stupid joke about devolution.
At first I was very careful with my movements as I bound from branch to branch. As I became more confident in my movements I picked up speed, and tried more daring stunts. Jumping from one branch high up in the air to one much farther down.
It was long until I entirely lost myself. I enjoyed the different things I found that I could do if I only found the right animal.
As I was scurrying from the bottom of the tree back to the top in the form of a squirrel I found my body moving against my will back down the tree.
When I was close enough to the ground the unseen force made me leap to the ground, and instantly form back to my human state. By now I knew it was Gerard causing me to move in such ways. Presently, he had me walking closer and closer to where he sat next to Ray. A triumphant smile plastered to his face.
"Did I interrupt your fun?" He asked sarcastically as I finally stopped walking in front of him.
"As a matter of fact, you did." I answered him. "I'm guessing you told him what I was up to?" I asked Ray, who was still sitting next to Gee.
Ray, simply nodded. "I was scared you might have gotten yourself killed again with some of the things you were doing."
"So, that's why you wanted me back here."
"Well that, and I think Frank wants to see if he can outrun a cheetah." Gerard informed me.
No sooner had he uttered Frank's name, than Frank actually came racing up to stand
next to me.
"Not cool." Frank remarked. Gee just gave a sheepish smile.
"You wanted to race?" I asked Frank, disregarding his upset.
His eyes lit up, and a grin came to reside on his face. "Awesome." Was the only thing he had to say.
I rolled my eyes, as I formed into a cheetah.
"I don't know if I'll get used to that." Frank shuddered as he looked down at me.
In my head I was laughing at him. I'd have to remember to see if I could watch one of my transformations in a mirror. I still didn't know what it looked like.
"Alright," Ray began as he got up, and started walking over a few feet to the left. "From here to that tree."
Frank, and I took a spot next to each other in front of where Ray was standing.
"On your mark. Get set." Ray paused. "Go!"
I launched myself as quickly as I could into a sprint. I didn't bother to look to my side to see if Frank was there, and I couldn't see him in front of me either. I just kept running, gaining a little more speed with each bound.
It took me about a minute of running until I came barreling past the tree Ray had made the finish line. I instantly slowed my pace, until I could manage stopping without hurting myself. I formed back to myself, and walked to where I saw Frank was standing.
"I guess cheetahs are pretty fast." Frank remarked.
"Does that mean I won?" I asked. I didn't think that was possible, but I would be extremely excited if that was the case.
"We tied."
"Cool."
We started to walk back to where we left Ray and Gerard in our dust. Halfway there I felt the tingle that always comes with my transformations. It wasn't me causing it though.
I didn't even know what Gerard had had me form into, and there were no mirrors around for me to see myself. I tried to form back to myself, but he wasn't letting me.
"Sam?" I heard Frank call my name. He obviously hadn't been paying attention, and didn't know that I shifted.
Based on how his voice sounded slightly distant I figured that whatever I currently was, it was small. I looked up and met Frank's stare. His eyes were full of terror.
His opened his mouth, and a deafening scream flooded my ears.
"Spider!" He shrieked.
That would explain things.
Farther off I heard Gerard, Ray, Mikey, and even Adrian laughing. I figured that I should again try to shift back to myself. It seemed that with Gee too busy with laughing he couldn't keep his control over my actions, and I easily formed back to myself.
Frank had run off in the opposite direction of me.
"Gee!" I shouted before starting to chuckle myself.
In the distance I noticed Frank had stopped running and looked back to where he had left me. I couldn't discern his facial expressions from this distance, but I started to laugh even harder.
Within mere seconds Frank was on me, gripping my arms tightly to my sides so I couldn't move. I was still trying to suppress my giggles.
"That's not funny!" He seethed angrily through clenched teeth.
"It wasn't me." I countered. He raised an eyebrow. "It was Gee."
Frank released me, and ran to Gerard who was literally rolling on the ground laughing at this point. I looked over just in time to see Frank jump on top of Gee. Everyone else was still standing around, watching them wrestle. I, myself, jogged over to get a better view of the action.
"That wasn't funny." Frank grunted.
Gerard just continued to fight back, while uttering a few chuckles every now and then. We all stood around watching for a couple minutes, until I got bored.
"Alright. Break it up." I said.
With a final shove, they both got off the ground, and dusted themselves off.
"Sorry." Gee finally apologized to Frank.
"Yeah, whatever."
"Could you quit controlling me now?" I asked Gee. It was starting to annoy me, and like I guessed earlier, he was getting himself in trouble already.
"I guess, that was just too tempting." He smirked.

To be continued...
Since it's so close to the holidays, how do you think Christmas time would be spent in the Black Parade? -Sam
