To the moon

lets build a ladder
with our broken hearts
straight up to the moon
far away from
those who will try to harm us
and break our pieces further
there are to many hearts so broken
and to many children left behind  
so lets build ourselves ladder
straight to the moon
then maybe we'll be free
there are so many people
crying out just wanting to be free
so far away from the pain and suffering
lets build a place that's free
to get there we'll need a ladder
one that goes all the way to the moon
we can build it with our broken hearts
cause we surely have enough of them
we'll give a safe place to all the lost children
and the ones who strayed to far
we can build ourselves a family
and a home up on the moon
that way we'll never have to be alone
so all the ones left alone
and the ones lost in their broken homes

build a ladder
so we can make the moon our home
no one will be lonely
or ever cast astray
